The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a draft notification for the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) 12th Level Recruitment 2025. The drive offers 3,058 vacancies for eligible 12th pass candidates across India.
Vacancy Details:
Commercial cum Ticket Clerk – 2,424 posts
Train Clerk – 77 posts
Accounts Clerk cum Typist – 394 posts
Junior Clerk cum Typist – 163 posts
Eligibility:
Educational Qualification: 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
Age Limit: 18 to 33 years as on January 1, 2026.
Typing speed required for certain posts: 30 words per minute in English or 25 in Hindi.
Application Dates:
Online application starts: October 28, 2025
Last date to apply: November 27, 2025
Fee payment deadline: November 29, 2025
Correction window: November 30 to December 9, 2025
Application Fee:
General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after CBT)
SC/ST/EBC/Female/Transgender: ₹250 (fully refundable after CBT)
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected through:
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
2. Typing Skill Test (where applicable)
3. Document Verification
4. Medical Examination
Exam Pattern:
The CBT will consist of 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes.
General Awareness: 40 marks
Mathematics: 30 marks
General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 marks
There will be a negative marking of 0.33 marks for each wrong answer.
Salary:
Selected candidates will receive a pay scale as per Level 2 and Level 3 of the 7th CPC, with an initial monthly pay of ₹19,900.
