Education Minister Sakina Itoo said winter holidays for students from Nursery to Middle classes in the Kashmir division are expected to start in the first week of December. She spoke to reporters in Srinagar and said the department reviewed the cold weather and discussed the vacation schedule.
She said parents and schools had raised concerns about books and academic needs, and those issues were taken up in meetings. She added that instructions have already been shared with schools.
She said the department is watching the weather and the academic calendar closely and will finalise the schedule as temperatures continue to drop.
