The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of Western Railway has announced an official notification (Employment Notice No. RRC/WR/01/2025) inviting applications for 64 vacancies for the 2025-26 recruitment cycle. These openings are available under the Sports Quota for Group C and Group D positions.

- Total openings: 64 (21 in Group C and 43 in Group D)
- Pay levels: Level 5/4, Level 3/2, and Level 1 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission
- Eligibility criteria:
- Level 5/4 requires any graduate degree
- Level 3/2 requires 12th pass or Matriculation with ITI/Diploma
- Level 1 requires 10th pass or ITI/Diploma
- Age limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old as of January 1, 2026 (born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2008)
- Salary range: ₹5,200 to ₹20,200 plus allowances
- Application period: From July 30, 2025 (10 AM) to August 29, 2025 (6 PM)
Vacancies cover various sports disciplines such as Cricket (Men & Women), Kabaddi, Wrestling, Basketball, Handball, Hockey, Athletics, Football, Volleyball, Powerlifting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Cycling, Gymnastics, Bodybuilding, Kho-Kho, and Water Polo.
The application fee is ₹500 for General category candidates (₹400 refundable after trial attendance) and ₹250 for SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Minorities, and Economically Backward Classes (fully refundable after trial).
Selection will be based on sports achievements (50 marks), skill, physical fitness, and coach’s evaluation (40 marks), and educational qualifications (10 marks). Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks as per their level: 70 for Level 5/4, 65 for Level 3/2, and 60 for Level 1.
