Srinagar, Feb 7 (GNS): Shantmanu, the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Education, led a meeting at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar today to assess the educational situation in the Kashmir division.
During the review, the ACS instructed Chief Education Officers (CEOs) and Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) to ensure that school heads across the valley take additional measures to incorporate moral education for students in the upcoming academic session. He highlighted that quality education must prioritize both moral values and the promotion of the mother tongue.
Shantmanu stressed that in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), innovative teaching methods and tools are essential for delivering quality education. He further emphasized that fostering a supportive school environment, improving students' communication skills, and boosting their confidence are critical for bridging learning gaps and enhancing personal development.
The ACS urged officials and school administrators to implement these recommendations to bring about a positive transformation in the education sector.
Earlier in the meeting, Dr. G.N. Itoo, Director of School Education Kashmir, outlined the current educational scenario in the valley and presented a detailed roadmap aimed at delivering effective education in the coming session.
The meeting was attended by the Director of School Education Kashmir, Chief Educational Officers from the Kashmir division, and other relevant officials. (GNS)
